Elizabeth attended Dumas High School and graduated in the summer of 1939. She went on to receive her Bachelor of Science from the Louisiana Technical Institute at Ruston on the 30th of July 1942. In the Summer of 1948, on the 16th of May, she married the late Ross O. Stanley, in Monroe, Louisiana.
The couple eventually moved to Houston where Elizabeth was a member of the Willow Meadows Baptist Church, President of the Willow Meadows Garden Club from 1969 to 1970, and also a member of Daughters of the American Revolution.
Preceded in death by her daughter, the late Amy Elizabeth Stanley, Elizabeth is survived by her son, Steven Dale Stanley, of Ft. Worth; and by her three grandchildren: Jordan Lally, Austin Fatjo, and Ashley Fatjo, all of Houston.
The family gathered for a private time of remembrance in the Parlor of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons on the 16th of August and a private entombment followed, later in the week, at Memorial Oaks Mausoleum in Houston.
