Dad, I waited to make an entry in your book as I am still trying to believe this to be true.  I wanted, of course, to have you forever here on earth and have had to realize over the last few weeks that I will instead see you in heaven.  May you rest in peace and don't worry about us. Uncle Ira, I remember always being invited to go with ya'll to Los Tios!  That was "real" Mexican food at the time, wasn't it!?  As I got into high school and closer to college, you always asked what my plans were for college and then after graduation.  I always went next door to visit when I came in from San Marcos on weekends, Christmas break, Spring break, and the summer of course.  You always asked me how school was going!  Once I got married and started a family, I would visit you and Aunt Lena next door, and you'd hug my kids as if they were your own grandkids!  You talked to them and you listened when they spoke....Jamie and Lauren could talk your ears off too, but you listened and just smiled!  When I later would visit without the kids, you always would still ask about them. You were always genuinely interested in me and my family and how we were all doing! Mr. Morgan was a wonderful man who set the bar high on what a husband, dad, grandfather and friend should be. He was always very kind to my daughter and me. We should all aspire to be just as kind and selfless as he was. The Morgan family was very blessed to have such a wonderful role model in their lives.

My prayers and sympathy to his lovely family. I know he was a wonderful man as Penny spoke so highly of him.

Lena and family, we have not seen one another in years, however it seems like only yesterday. Ira was one of the nicest men I have ever known. Remembering all the good times we had. Paw Paw I Love you, I will never forget the times we spent together or the wonderful conversations we had. I can still remember the summers spent with you driving to Burger King in your old Chevy to get a Whopper, building toy boats in your shop, playing games and building puzzles, looking for mini bikes in the classified ads of the newspaper, learning how to release the clutch and take off, drinking coffee early in the morning, going to the beach,  you driving me to summer school so I could get ahead, I remember the day I showed up at your house and you had a beautiful green Toyota Tacoma in your garage waiting for me, and then you helped me to get my Driver's License at the DPS, teaching me how to drive using a manual transmission in your Grey Ford Ranger, eating Donuts, eating pecan pie, going on trips in the motor home, going on trips to Port O"Conner and flipping the boat with a hammerhead shark on the line, there are just so many more memories but most of all you will be remembered by your Love, your gentle kind nature, your respect for The LORD and your outstanding achievements with raising such a wonderful family that I am so proud to be a part of. I will miss you man, but I know that you have gone to be with The Almighty LIVING GOD and on his time on the other side of this miraculous journey we will ALL meet again as pure as Gold. <3 LOVE & BLESSINGS <3 -CHASE

My Dearest Uncle Ira,  I will always remember your sweet smile and gentle manner.  I have so many fond memories of your visits to our house when I was a child.  Mom and I would be doing dishes in the kitchen and suddenly you and Aunt Lena along with the kids would be in our driveway.  It was always so it exciting and fun when the house would be full of family, love and laughter.
