Isaac “MuthaFucKing” Figueroa as he was affectionately known as was born the 6th of November 1979 in Houston, Texas, God called him to his eternal home Tuesday, December 24th 2024 where his mother welcomed him into heaven.
Isaac was the son of Linda Figueroa , and older brother to John Michael Figueroa, Marcos Bravo, and Myrecio Castro . He was a proud father of two beautiful daughters, Mariah Figueroa and Iris Figueroa. Isaac was also a very proud uncle to his nephew Nicanor Frias, John Michael’s son. He leaves behind two aunts & was a cousin to many who he loved dearly. Isaac was predeceased by his mother Linda, His aunt Christina, Grandmother Arlene, and his two uncles Pete and Mark.
Being the oldest of three boys, Isaac became the man of the house at a young age taking the responsibility to help raise his two brothers alongside his mother. He had a natural ability to lead and inspire others, with his confident presence and charismatic personality.
Isaac was a pillar in his family and in the community. Being a son, father, brother and uncle were titles he wore with honor, and he was a man his family could depend on. Isaac was a devoted father whom loved & adored, his two girls to the moon & back. There was nothing he wouldn’t do to see them smile. He was truly an altruistic man and that was evident by the unwavering support, he gave his family and others around him. If you ever thank him for anything he would simply reply “Don’t thank me thank God” one of his many signature quotes. His journey on this earth was one marked by love, compassion, and his devoted faith in God. He was an entrepreneur and one of the greatest salesman to grace gods green earth.
His joy for life and happiness was contagious and that optimism made him a great leader. He was well respected throughout his community. To know him was to love him , & to know that you loved the fun lovable asshole he was. An often jokester , he would typically greet you with friendly banter. That’s what you love about Isaac his humor was infectious, he truly had a way of creating joy when in his presence. He was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him & if he knew you long enough he was sure to give you a nickname that he would refer to you as each time he would see you. Isaac was a brother, uncle, friend & father figure to so many because if you were close to him he would consider you family, & he would treat you as such with much love always. All considered him a true confidant and loyal friend. He was a man who upheld his values, his faith, and always did what was right. Isaac was full of life and he really lived everyday like it was his last. If you were ever in his presence, you were in for a good time, or unforgettable moment. Any & each occasion he would create, attend or participate in, he would do it big or not at all, that’s just the type of person he was. He was rich with his perspective of life. Believing that value of experiences and the creation of memories were more important than money or materialistic items.
Isaac had a huge love for music, and nothing brought him more joy then to be front row at his favorite artists concerts. He was in his element when attending concerts and just as always no matter where he was his energy shinned ultra bright and often leading to him being recognized by musical legends, from getting hand shakes & high fives from the likes of artists Lil Wayne, Drake, and Fat Joe just to name a few, to getting chose by Beyoncé to get brought on stage to get “catered 2” a sexy lap dance performed on him during Destiny’s Child final tour in Houston,Texas. Then calling up to the radio station responding to the criticism & backlash that was received by Beyoncé because she chose a mexican to perform the dance on instead of someone african-american. Simply stating that Beyoncé chose him because “she wanted a real one like me, she knew I was a playa made mexican & I wasn’t even trying, I can’t help it that, I’m just too pretty nigga”. Isaac was also given recognition by hip-hop’s biggest artist and entrepreneur Jay-Z, with Jay-Z giving thanks to him by shouting out his full name “Isaac Figueroa” on stage at the end of his concert, then again when Isaac corrected him & made him say it his way “Isaac MuthaFucKing Figueroa” as he shook his hand & left the show. He has done it all & has many unbelievable stories that would amaze you. Truly the stuff of legends.
Other than music one of Isaac’s biggest loves was sports he openly enjoyed sports & he’d love to root on his hometown teams The Houston Rockets, Astros & Texans. Isaac was ultra competitive in everything , basketball, bowling, darts, pool, dice, foosball, board games you name it. He made everything a competition & he would love to put a wager on whatever it, is he is doing against competitors. He had a Michael Jordan like competitive nature, Isaac was a fierce competitor who hated losing and would do anything to win. If you ever played basketball against him then you know that he would call his self “MJ ,Mexican Jordan”. What he enjoyed the most about sports is betting on them. Often when you were in his presence, he surely would ask your opinion on several games. “Who do like in this game, what do you think the over or the under , money line or spread”? He either let you know about a big parlay he just missed by one game or one that he just hit, while checking the wagers he put in for that day. His dream job was to be a professional sports gambler or poker player. He didn’t take poker seriously but he was well on his way to being a professional sports gambler, before his passing. As you would hear him say “I do this shit for a living”. Another infamous quote of his began to say more often, as he would hit bets more frequently. He really was a sports encyclopedia.
If you never seen his birth date at the start of this obituary you would’ve never guessed his age by how he looked and he took a lot of pride in that. It would take a full book to truly describe the myth Isaac Figueroa was, and how he lived ,and experienced his life.
His passing has left a void in the hearts of his family, friends, and many more whose lives were touched by him. We ask that you remember him for the way he lived, and for the profound impact it had on the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Those who knew Isaac will remember him for his infectious smile and overwhelming laughter, his deep-rooted faith in God, and his unwavering commitment to spreading love and kindness to everyone he encountered. He had a rare gift for making others smile and laugh, leaving a lasting impact on all who crossed his path.
Although Isaac’s physical presence may no longer grace our lives, his spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us. May his memory be a blessing, and may we carry forth his legacy of love and compassion in all that we do. Your light will forever shine brightly in our hearts. Uknowit 11:11
