Ivan Eugene LaRue "Lash"

Ivan Eugene LaRue “Lash”,72, of Spring Texas entered into rest March 21st 2017. He was born in Corning Arkansas on April 4th 1944 to parents Arvin Samuel and Julie May LaRue. Lash was a veteran of the Vietnam War and was ranked an E7, he was part of 101st Airborne Division. He received many certificates and awards which led him to the engineering field. Lash was married to Kay LaRue for 20 loving years. Lash owned his own business, LaRue and Company, in the music entertainment industry. Lash also worked for Specialty Equipment as senior project manager. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and the VFW. His passion was to make everything better through engineering. He could always make it better by re-engineering whatever it was.

He survived by his wife Kay LaRue, children; Todd LaRue, Damon Scott LaRue, Thomas LaRue, Wendy Reynolds and Danielle Inman, grandchildren; Cody LaRue, Kayla LaRue, Katie LaRue, Brittney LaRue, Olivia LaRue, Nadia Inman, Paige LaRue, Braedon LaRue, Dylan LaRue, John Reynolds, and Thomas Reynolds. Sister Diana Granzow, Brother Arvin LaRue Jr.

Visitation will be held Thursday, March 23, 2017 at 10:30am with the funeral service to follow at 12:15pm at American Heritage Funeral Home, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas 77038. A committal service will be held at 1:30pm at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas 77038 with a reception following at American Heritage Funeral Home.
