

Jacques P. Tourneur, age 71, passed away September 17, 2010. He was born in Courbevoie, France and raised in Asnieres, France to Roger and Renee Tourneur. He graduated from Brazosport High school in 1958 and served in the United States Army from 1958-1960.
He lived in the Katy area since 1973 and was involved in many organizations including Girls Little League Softball and KGSA until the 1980's. He was full of life and loved to clown around to make people laugh. He also loved woodworking and was always willing to help others in their home projects. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was very family oriented and loved nothing better than the whole family getting together.
He is survived by his wife, Maggie, of 52 years and daughters, Keriann Tyler, Cheryl Golbow and Kim Moyer, 10 grandchildren, two great grandchildren all of Katy; a brother Claude of France, sister Yvette of Colorado, and many other relatives that survive him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and his daughter, Shonna Renee Tourneur.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 22,2010 from 5-8 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home located at 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston TX, 281-497-2210. Funeral services will be held under the direction of Memorial Oaks Funeral Home on Thursday, September 23, 2010 at 3:00 p.m.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Eric Golbow, Gary Moyer, Tim Tyler, Scott Golbow, Colton Tyler and Chad Moyer.
