He was born in Groves, Texas on December 3, 1946 to William Marcus Griffin and Erma Faye Griffin. He was married to Wanda L. Hartle for 43 years.
James (Grif) had a career in Aero Space Industry as a Computer Analyst for the United Space Alliance “USA”, Rockwell Int., Service Corp. Int, and served in the U.S. Army
He was a founding member of Writing Groups, SF/F 2564 Writers and SG Productions. He had a passion for writing; computers, 3-D Modeling and reading.
Grif is preceded in death by his mother Erma Faye Griffin, father William Marcus Griffin and his sister Janice Cox Graham
Survivors include his wife Wanda L. Hartle, nephews Trey Cox of Kirbyville, Texas, Jason Cox of Seabrook, Texas, Casey Cox of Melissa, Texas and his niece Amber Wilkinson of Evadale, Texas and a multitude of extended family and friends.
