July 7, 1961 - March 9, 2020
James “Jim” Jaeger, 58, passed away on March 9, 2020 after an 11-month battle with pancreatic cancer. He passed in the comfort of his own home with his son and brother by his side.
For all of us left behind, it can be easy to be angry for his suffering and knowing his life was cut too short, but instead we must remember the importance of living each day as if it were a gift. That next sip of coffee, that next goodnight hug, that next walk in the park… none of it is promised. We must work to stay present because of that, and truly live this life we’ve been given.
Jim had a kind spirit and a jovial laugh that will always remain in the hearts of those left missing his presence here on Earth. He was a loving and dedicated father to his son, an avid hunter alongside his father and brother, and shared a love of golf with his friends.
He is loved and remembered by his son, Hunter Jaeger; his brother, Stepheon (Lori) Jaeger; his sister, Stephanie “Sis” Jaeger; his niece, Danielle (JR) Johnson; his nephew, Tyler Jaeger; and many wonderful and close friends.
Jim is preceded in death by his father, George Jaeger; his mother, Aqueilia “Squeak” Jaeger; and his brother, George “Georgie” Jaeger.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, March 13, 2020 from 6-8 p.m. at Brookside Funeral Home located at 9149 Hwy. 6 N., Cypress, TX 77095.
