

James Moody passed away on Monday, April 10, 2017. He was born James Turnbo on April 13, 1940 to James Franklin Turnbo and the former Allie Cummins, but knew Thomas Moody as his father growing up; soon adopting his name.
A career pipeline welder and later inspector, in 2016, he was recognized as a 50 year life member of the Pipeliners Union Local 798. His most recent employment was with Wood Group Mustang Construction Engineering. A faithful Christian for 20 years, he was a member of the Assemblies of God church. James enjoyed his friends, flirting with waitresses at his favorite cafes, sharing about his Lord, and his family. Preceded in death by his mother, Allie Singleton, and his sisters Viola White and Aileen McGee; he is survived by his son, James Roy Turnbo and his wife, Karen; granddaughters, Lizz Jelsma and her husband Shane and Lydia Turnbo; a grandson, James Roy Turnbo II, and great-grandson, Auden Jelsma.
A graveside service is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Brookside Memorial Park, with visitation on Friday, April 14, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m .at Brookside Funeral Home. Memorials may be sent to T Squared Ministries, PO Box 635, Hooks, TX 75561.
