James lived life to the fullest. Once involved he was 150% involved. Loved his fast cars, athletic shoe collection, watch collections, and to shoot competitive skeet and 1000 yard rifle competitions with his best friend Jason Mathews. Employed by IEC Systems for past 8 years. He was always known for his quick smile, ready practical jokes and his wit. James loved to take things apart and put back together "better". He never owned a car or gun that he failed to modify or change. He never failed to support his friends, and would do anything to help them but never want or take any credit in return.
To his parents he was the light of their life. As the youngest he was six years younger than his sister, and he often claimed he was the "oops". Mike and Cindy say it was the best "oops" they could have ever imagined. He fulfilled their lives. James Michael was the joy and laughter in their lives. He kept them young at heart and soul, and became their "OMG I can't believe he said/did that". He lived life to the fullest and took everyone with him on that ride.
We have a hole in our hearts that can never heal. We miss him terribly all ready.
We need time to mend, though we know life will never be the same. He was a great son, and also our greatest friend. He was loved deeply and he will be missed.
James is preceded in death by grandparents; Coe and Ruby Lewis and Bill and Bea Pilkinton; uncle, Tony Lewis. He leaves to cherish his parents Mike and Cindy Pilkinton of Houston, Texas; sister, Nicole Hutchins and husband Grant of Houston, Texas; niece, Sadie Hutchins.
