

James (Jim) Robinson (95) passed away 6/9/25. Native Houstonian (born 8/3/29) at St Joseph Infirmary to Tom & Reba Robinson. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 60 years, Rosemary, in 2018 and is survived by his son Cole Robinson, his wife Diane, and their children Dustin Robinson of Chicago and Cassie Robinson of Houston.
He was preceded in death by his sister Billie Fife and her husband Bill and is survived by his niece Cara Ezzell of Hallettsville, TX. Also survived by Becky Perry of McKinney, TX, Tara Walker Ezzell of Houston, and Cheryl Kalmus of Hallettsville, TX.
Raised in Houston’s East End, attending Burnet el, Jackson Jr,, and SF Austin Sr (47). Received Chemical Engineering degree at Univ of Texas. Served four years during the Korean War in Air Force at Holloman Air Development Center at Alamogordo, NM as a Rocket Propulsion Specialist (AFSC 44170). Jim and Rosemary lived in Champions in NW Houston for over 40 years.
Was VP & General Manager of international engineering & technology division with offices in Houston, Paris, Hamburg, and London. Conducted business in most parts of the world and was among the first American businessmen allowed back into People’s Republic of China in 1974. He was particularly active in the Mid-East. He holds two US patents. Also director of Specialty Chemical Process Engineering & later Director of Biotech & Pharmaceutical Validation for a major engineering corporation.
Funeral to be held Monday June 16th 10 AM at Brookside Funeral Home - Champions. Interment to follow at 1 PM at Forest Park Lawndale
