He graduated from Alief-Taylor High School, Class 2009. James acquired a Bachelors in Criminal Justice/Political Science at the University of Houston, Class 2020. His love for guns brought him to the Radical Firearms Family, where he had the opportunity to work as the Customer Service Manager. He was passionate about teaching gun safety, target-shooting, training, and educating the community to the principles for use and handling of guns. He actively gave his input for gun design and improvement when necessary. He also achieved his Masters in Security Administration at Sam Houston State University, Class of 2020.

As a teenager, Jiu-Jitsu took James to train in Hawaii and Japan and compete on the world stage at PanAms and Abu Dhabi trials. After suffering a severe knee injury, James stepped away from jiu jitsu for 7 years prior to returning under Jorge "Macaco" Patino Gold Team where he received his black belt.
