James Hoover Smith

James is survived by daughter Linda Joyce Malenfant and son Casey L. Smith Sr.; brothers Lee Smith and Eugene Smith; and his grandchildren Tammy Saldana, Rebecca Work, Billie Archuletta and Casey L. Smith Jr., Donna McMichael, Larry Scheutta

James was preceded in death by his first wife Elsie Smith; second wife Doris Smith; son Roy Dean Smith and daughter Debbie Gale Smith; father James W. Smith and mother Dovey Cheney Smith; sister Frances Blankenship; and brothers Bert and Joe Smith.

Mr. James also leaves behind numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

A visitation for James will be held Thursday, July 8, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel, 5100 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77022. A graveside service will occur Friday, July 9, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039.
