James William Stanley

Jim is preceded in death by his loving wife Mary Ruth Stanley, who passed away on May 10th, 2024. He is survived by two daughters Donna Viscardi and Cindy Haralson. Also survived by grandkids Amy, Shannon, Nick and Sara along with great grandkids Jackson and Abbott.

The family moved from Atlanta, Georgia to Houston in 1976 to pursue Jim’s entrepreneurial dreams and started a very successful company called Comp-U-Data. Jim and Ruth spent all of their days side by side working together and enjoying their lake house, fishing and relaxing. He was also a huge car enthusiast, always searching for the next car trade.

We will cherish all of the family memories and he will be greatly missed.

Special thanks to his caregivers Juanita Kelly and Milena Saenz for these special relationships that comforted him through his final moments in life. They provided such dedication, patience and compassion that was like no other. The family would also like to thank Tallowood Baptist Church for all of their support over the years and during this time.

He is now reunited with the love of his life, Ruth, who he has missed dearly since her passing. Inseparable in life, united in death.

A graveside service will be held at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery, located at 12800 Westheimer Rd, Houston, TX, in the Mausoleum. The service is scheduled for August 16, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 2:30 pm.
