Jamison was happily married and a devoted husband and father for 26 years. He was very proud of that. He carried all the fruits of the spirit, always having a positive attitude of faith. He was always smiling, laughing and telling jokes at work and at home. Even though he had Diabetes, he took the news in stride. He was amazing, full of energy and ready to help anyone in need. He was always ready for fishing at a moments notice! He would camp out for 2 days straight and fish all day and most of the night, especially between 2:00 a.m. and 6 a.m. that's when they were really biting. All his friends that saw him daily can say he never said he was suffering, struggling or showed any signs of depression what so ever. He was happy anywhere.
The family moved to Boston, MA, before relocating to Texas, where Jamie attended Aldine High School and earned a GED. He began working in fields as varied as signal construction and repairing and rebuilding various types of semi trucks, before eventually becoming a Heavy Equipment Mechanic.
Jamie was a committed Christian, the devoted husband of Valerie Ann Missler, and the proud father of Matthew Mark Missler and Kendahl Ann Missler. He loved playing guitar and making music with Valerie, and he was absolutely passionate about salt-water fishing!
He is survived by his father Steven Missler (Linda), mother Linda Barber (Hallie), brother Michael Missler (Norma), step-brother Frankie Butler (Ann), step-brother Heath Barber (Tammy), step-sister Christy Roberts (Greg), along with various Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
