Jan Baker Murphy passed on April 10, 2026, at the age of 87. She was born on December 1, 1938, and was a resident of Eagle’s Trace in Houston, Texas. Jan is survived by her son William Murphy and his wife Lisa, four grandchildren: Kathryn Murphy Riccio, Alyssa Murphy Vasquez, Preston Murphy and Ryan Murphy, and one great-grandchild Vera Luisa Vasquez. Jan was preceded in death by her husband Robert Murphy to whom she was married for almost 55 years, and her sister Bettye Baker Barron.
