

Janie was born in N. Laredo, Tam. Mexico, raised in Bay City, Texas she married Ernest Garcia Perez on June 5, 1965, and shortly moved to Houston, Texas. Raised three children, daughter Criselda Perez Ayala “Crissy” (Bernardo “Barney”), son Ernest Eugene Perez “Geno” (Jennifer), Roman Anthony Perez “Romy” (Ann); grandchildren Andrew Diaz (Deja), Jaden, Gina, Alena, Roman and Merek. She enjoyed a fulfilling career in the medical field, healing and impacting her patients’ lives as a devoted nurse for over three decades. Unfortunately, she had to leave a rewarding career due to illness prematurely.
She loved her family immensely giving of her time, talent and treasure by volunteering for her children’s and grandchildren’s sport leagues and school programs. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton. She loved serving others when she could. She will be missed more than she will ever know, but her family and all those she touched will carry her in their heart.
Janie was a beloved daughter, wife, mom, nana, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, in-law, godmother and friend to many. She is preceded in death by her infant brother Juan, Father Atanacio Lopez Sanchez, Mother Elvira Martinez Sanchez, Ayala babies, sister Hilda Sanchez Perez Chagoy, brother-in-law Edward Chagoy, brother-in-law Jesus P. Perez, brother David Sanchez survived by Virginia Garcia, sister-in-law Isabel Sanchez survived my Mario Sanchez, brother-in-law Antonio Estrada survived by Mary Estrada, bother-in-law Simon Gonzales survived by Maria Dolores Gonzales, sister-in-law Petra Perez Mata, sister-in-law Refugia Perez Mejias, sister-in-law Mary Nancy Perez Soto Gutierrez, brother-in-law Alonzo Gutierrez, brother-in-law Gilbert Garcia Perez survived by Virginia Perez, brother-in-law Socorro Martinez, in-law Ramon Ayala survived by Amparo Escobedo Ayala, in-law James Middleton survived by Barbara Middleton. She is reunited with them now praising and rejoicing in Heaven.
