J. C. Ledger went to be with Lord on Saturday December 19, 2020. He was born on April 9, 1924 in LaBelle, Texas to parents Amelia and Alida Leger. J. C. worked as an iron worker for Local 84 and later in his own business.
J. C. is preceded in death by his parents, wife Cathryn and 10 siblings. Left to cherish his memory are his three children: Darleen Overfield and husband Joe, Mary Lou Davis and husband Johnny, Priestly Ledger and wife Therese; grandchildren: Kathy Perry, Charles Overfield, J. C. Davis, Alida Wright, Priestly E. Ledger, Brandie Sanchez and Katherine Case; great-grandchildren: Joey Perry, Blake Perry, Ashley Gonzales, Courtney Braden, Candise Coogler, Colby Davis, Cameron Davis, Anthony Dana, Lindsey Dana, Alicia Overfield, Emily Overfield, Austin Wright, Greyson Wright, and Presli Wright.
Family and friends will gather for services January 2, 2021, at Brookside Funeral Home and Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., with the funeral beginning promptly at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Brookside Memorial Park.
