Jean Ann Hewitt

Jean Ann Riesenbichler Hewitt, 92, of Houston, entered heaven on November 17, 2025. Born October 6, 1933, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, to George and Bernice Unnerstall Reisenbichler, Jean married John E. Hewitt in Denver, Colorado, on February 15, 1958. They were married for 59 years until John's passing in 2017.

She is preceded in death by her parents and sisters Margie Vinyard and Mary Pat Dunham. Survivors include three sons: Carl (Betty), Bruce (Roxanne), and Glenn (Lanie); grandchildren: Jeannie, Brian, Paighton, Abby, John, Andrew, and Riley; great-grandchildren: Loren, Raelee, Kasen, Willow, Emily, Genevieve, and Hunter; her sister Betty Fluegge; and numerous nieces and nephews.

As a nursing school graduate from St. Louis, Jean worked in Minnesota and Colorado prior to meeting the love of her life, John. She enjoyed her neighborhood walks in Nottingham West, attending Christ Memorial Lutheran Church, and hosting large family gatherings. She will be greatly missed by her loved ones.

A graveside service will be held on a date to be announced, followed by a Celebration of Life at Christ Memorial Lutheran Church, 14200 Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77079. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Christ Memorial Lutheran Church or a charity of your choice
