Jeanette Harvey Peavy

Jeanette Harvey Peavy was born to the late Isiah Harvey and Myrlean Owens Harvey on August 6, 1959 in Houston, TX. Jeanette attended AB Anderson Elementary School, Drew Middle School and G.W. Carver where she was a Majorette Baton Twirler.

Jeanette was employed with America General where she was a Computer Operator for 15 years. Later in 1995, she was also employed with First Health as a Benefits Medical and Dental Examiner. Jeanette had retired at the age of 41 years old! Jeanette was a member of Wright Grove Church under the leadership of Pastor Leon Ford.

Later, she became an Active Member at Greater True Vine Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor R.D. Douglas. In 1992, Jeanette became the First Lady. Jeanette was very active in church, playing piano, attending Bible Study and Sunday School.

Jeanette also loved to travel and spending time with family members doing special occasions.

On November 1980, Jeanette got married to Pastor Tommy J. Peavy. They shared their love for 45 years.

On July 21, 2025 Jeanette Harvey Peavy peacefully took her last breath at the age of 65 years old. Jeanette will be remembered and missed by the ones who loved her.

She proceeded her death by: both of her parents, Rev. Isiah Harvey and Myrlean O. Harvey; Harvey and Mama Frankie Harvey; sister, Deborah Ann Harvey Cunningham.

She leaves to cherish her memories to: her husband, Pastor Tommy J. Peavy; daughters, Byronette R. Harvey and Latora Y. Peavy; grandkids, Keajzion R. Harvey, Keatara R. Harvey and Keaon R. Harvey; one great-granddaughter, Riley (Muffin); sister, Velmarea H. Cager of Georgia; brother, Isiah Harvey Jr.; alone with her nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law, Gracie Lee Peavy; brother-in-laws, Robert Sanders and Lee Goree (Pop Peavy).

Jeanette will be missed from all the ones who loved her and we will always remember her smile. May we all keep her memories within our hearts.

A memorial service for Jeanette will be held Saturday, August 9, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at Soldiers Of The Cross M.B.C., 8108 Double St., Houston, TX 77088.
