Jeraldene (Tootsie) Hackfeld, age 89, passed away on August 26, 2025 in Humble, Texas. She was born April 16, 1936 in Roscoe, Texas to Ernest and Jeffie Harris. Jeraldene married Alvin Hackfeld on April 16, 1953.
She is survived by son Mark and wife Karen, daughter Robbie, and grandson Jake. She is preceded in death by her husband Alvin, her sisters Jean Black, Ernestine Tomlin, Betty Jo Tatum and infant brother David Harris. Alvin and Tootsie resided their entire lives in west Texas until moving to Humble, Texas in 2006 to be closer to their beloved grandson. She resided at the Terraces at Kingwood Center in her final two years.
Tootsie was a member of the Humble Area First Baptist Church and a faithful and prayerful woman of God. She will be remembered for her dedication to her family, love of children, unwavering faith, and commitment to her late husband of 63 years. Tootsie will be missed by all who knew her.
