It's Christmas, but it doesn't seem like it. Seems each year is getting farther from what I'd call "peaceful".  It is what it is.  My heart is heavier and heavier.  I miss you, son.  In many ways I'm glad you aren't dealing with the issues we're dealing with.  Doing my best to care for your mom.  I know that was a major concern for you. I love you so much.  Talk to you later.

You’ve really been on my mind, especially these last few days. I guess because it was coming up on today. Time does truly pass fast. It doesn’t seem like it’s been 3 years.  It feels so recent, so fresh. I miss you so much. None of us know what it’s like after death but I pray one thing is true. And that is that you’re with your brothers and other family. Maine, my heart is still very heavy when I reflect on the last day we had together.  Sometimes I still catch a glimpse of you walking down the hall from your bedroom.  I'm never surprised and you always turn and look at me.  I believe at the time that this actually occurred that you knew, just as I did, that there wouldn't be many more times you'd take that walk. Hey sweetheart.  Its been awhile but its because I've been taking care of your mom.  She's been through a lot and is still not back to herself yet.  But we are hopeful that it won't be much longer. You know me, I'm doing my best to do all I possibly can to help her.  I'm doing okay, but I feel like my body is giving out.  Fortunately my mind is still pretty sharp. It may be a little while before I write again because I am extremely busy and it takes a lot of energy to take care of your mom and all of her needs and still take care of me and all of mine.

Grandson, I miss you so so much! It seems like yesterday, though it's more than a year now since we last talked. My heart aches  every day as that conversation rings in the ears of my memory.  I hear your voice, see your smile, but I also feel your pain as the end came nearer and nearer. I know you weren't ready and it was so unexpected. You worried so much about your mom being alone, but we got her, as best we can. My worries are the same for those I'll leave.  Life changes but life goes on.  I love you so much, Maine. Thank you for always saying that to me. I am grateful that you knew how much you were loved.  Rest well, son.  

My sweet grandson, Maine - this Christmas was better than the years before.  You would be proud of us. I thought about you so much.  JQ, his Gma, Angie and DeDe came to celebrate with us.  Mya had to work. We had a nice size group.  You would've had a great time! We love you so much, and you were mentioned more than once. We miss you so much and we will never stop thinking of you and wishing you were here. I keep hearing you say, "Hey grand-mama".  Like you always said, I wasn't just your grandma, I was your mama too.  I love you baby.

It seems like just a few days ago when we said farewell.  It's hard to believe it's already past a year.  It's all so fresh and painful.  Not a day goes by that I don't think of you; not one! I love you and miss you SO, SO much! I often hear your voice, especially when I look at your picture and see your smiling face. You brought me great joy. I really hope you knew how much and just how special you were - and are to me. My memories of you will never leave my heart.

I send you and your brothers, Maal and EJ, basically the same sentiments because you all mean the world to me, all the same, none different from the other.  I cry daily for missing you all, and my heart is so heavy with grief that I don't know how it's sustaining me.  If there truly is a "thereafter place", I pray we are reunited there. 

It's been awhile because I had surgery a few weeks ago and still in a lot of pain; plus numbness and tingling in my hand so I can only type with one hand.  Just want to say I miss you and love you.

Maine, I'm sorry it's been a while but so much has been going on. Every single day, especially when I walk by one of your pictures, I think of you.  Sometimes I kiss it.  :-)  Memories flood my mind.  Some memories bring a smile and some bring tears to my eyes.  It pains me greatly that the surgery did not give you more time.  I had been so hopeful.  I'm so sorry that I didn't get to the hospital to see you before the surgery.  I tried cause I was speeding, but at least we talked on the phone.  I didn't know it would be the last time I'd hear your voice. You will forever be in my heart, mind, and soul.  I miss you so very much.

Maine, we got past Christmas and New Year's.  Thank God.  IT WAS VERY HARD with all four of you not being here.  Time is moving on quickly.   I can't even believe all of this, it's very devastating.  Lately I've been emotionally, mentally and physically drained.  My neck has started back hurting so I guess I'll have to go ahead and schedule that surgery I've been putting off. Your mom has really been struggling as well. We've had a lot to consume so in time we'll be okay.  I love you and miss you very much.

Maine, it's been a month already since you left us.  Hard to believe and still hard to accept.  We've all been struggling and things just aren't normal yet.  I miss you SO much.  Sometimes I catch a glimpse of a shadow in the hall.  I accept it as you being here with me.  I love you, son.  

Michelle, I am praying for you that God gives you peace and comfort. I did not know Jermaine well but the time I was in his presence, he seemed funny, and sociable. Just like you, he reminded me of you.

Maine, your final service was a week ago today.  It's still hurtful to say goodbye.  We heard all of your suggestions and comments about your service and what you wanted. So I know like us, you're well pleased with everything.  Pastor had a stroke the night before your service so he wasn't there, but I'm sure you were pleased with Rev. Crump's handling of things.  
Well, I guess you know that Gigi died on Monday at the Animal Hospital.  Your mom had surgery for kidney stones on Wednesday.  She's doing okay now.  
I miss you SO much.  Well, all of you are together again - Maal, EJ, GP and you.  I can't believe all of you are gone.  Some days I feel your spirits around me.  It's comforting to know y'all are looking out for me.  I love you all.  I miss you all.

Now your reward is no more pain, no more sickness, no more fighting. A CHAMPION has entered heaven's gate. Your belt says it all baby. YOU ARE THE CHAMP!!!! Take your rest. You have certainly earned it!!!! As devastating as it is to know you are gone, I am thankful you are no longer suffering and now reunited with your brothers. A grieving and brokenhearted mama can only imagine the joyous occasion it will be for you three, which is the only reason I smile. I love you so dearly forever and always!!!
