Jerry Dale Gholston Sr.

Jerry Dale Gholston Sr., age 77, of Kingwood, Texas passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 2, 2023. Born on June 4, 1946, Jerry was known for his kind heart, caring nature, strength and sense of humor. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many.

Jerry loved spending his time hunting and fishing. Whether it was in the woods or by the water's edge, he found solace in nature's beauty. His love for these activities brought him great joy throughout his life.

Above all else, Jerry cherished his family and fur babies with all his heart. He was a devoted husband to Mernie and a doting father to Bear and a loyal best friend to Patty. His grandchildren held a special place in his heart, and he was very proud of them. Jerry's love knew no bounds when it came to those closest to him.

In addition to being an avid outdoorsman and dedicated family man, Jerry will be remembered for his infectious laughter and quick wit. His sense of humor could brighten even the darkest of days.

Jerry Gholston Sr.'s presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He leaves behind cherished memories that will last forever.

Jerry is survived by his daughter-in-law Patty, sister Marianne, brother Ron, granddaughter Amy and husband Paul, grandson Derrick and fiancé Samantha and great grandchildren Chloe, Connor and Jameson.

A visitation for Jerry will be held Monday, July 10, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, July 11, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. A burial committal will occur Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at Brookside Memorial Park.
