Jerry Gibbs, age 83, of Houston, Texas, passed away on Monday, January 27, 2025. Jerry was married to the love of his life, Rosemary Gibbs for 62 years. She preceded him in death in 2023. He was born in Houston, Texas on April 15, 1941 to Emmett and Patricia Gibbs .
Jerry is survived by his daughters Jenny Cooley and Susan Phelps, 6 grandchildren: Kendall (Shinji) Strain, Jake (Sarah) Cooley, Sam (Ani) Cooley, Daniel (Bridget) Coborn, Brittany (Nick) Fernandez, and Caity (James) Carr, 10 great-grandchildren, and his brother, David Gibbs.
Jerry graduated from Reagan High School and later worked for various companies in the auto industry. In his professional life, he was known for his strong work ethic and dedication. To his family, he was known for his devotion and for his quick wit and sense of humor. Jerry loved to laugh and enjoy time with family and friends. He was truly proud of his daughters and their families and loved spending time with them. He will be remembered as a kind, funny, and loving dad, uncle, papa and brother.
