JERRY WAYNE HERRON (JW)
June 28, 1952 – March 28, 2025
Jerry Wayne Herron, affectionately known as Que to Classmates, Wayne to family and JW to friends passed away peacefully. Born on June 28, 1952, in League City, Texas, JW was the third child of Issac and Maria Ford Herron.
JW’s remarkable work ethic began early at the age of ten years old, he pumped gas, a job that sparked his lifelong passion for automobiles. He ventured into the auto industry, managing several auto parts stores before achieving his dream of owning his own auto repair shop. After years of hard work and dedication, JW retired to enjoy the simpler joys of life, devoting his time to gardening and cherishing moments with his family, friends and especially his grandchildren.
A proud graduate of Carverdale High School, Class of 1970, JW married Cynthia Dickerson on December 4, 1971. Though they later divorced, they built a beautiful family together and remained devoted parents and lifelong friends.
JW leaves behind a loving legacy through his four children Jeremy (Tawana), Joshua (Janie), Jennifer and Jessica (His twins) and six grandchildren Jared, Jaidon, Malcolm, Jacob, Jamaya , and J’Naysia who brought immense joy to his life. JW is survived by three brothers Charles, Kenneth, and Micheal, two sisters Truela and Carol Lynn, many cousins, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends who will miss his warmth, humor, and unwavering support.
JW’s life was defined by his hard work, deep love for family, and his ability to make everyone feel welcome. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved and knew him.
Jerry Wayne Herron (JW) was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Marie Ford Herron, and father, Issac Herron. He was also reunited with his brother, Issac Herron, and his precious granddaughter, Jayla Marie Herron.
Though they have gone before him, their love and memories remained close to JW’s heart throughout his life. Now, they are together again, watching over those they left behind.
A viewing for Jerry will be held on April 7, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Paradise Funeral Home, located at 10401 West Montgomery Road in Houston, Texas. The funeral service will immediately follow from 11:00 AM to 12PM. The committal will follow services from 1 PM to 1:30PM at Paradise Cemetery South, located at 16001 Cullen Blvd. Pearland Texas 77030.
