

Jerry attended Hockaday School for Girls in Dallas, and went on to attend the University of Texas during which she became a member of Kappa Alpha Theta. She remained active as a Theta Alumnae and this year would have celebrated 75 years as a Theta. Jerry was a founding member of St. Martin's Episcopal Church and remained a loyal and active member until her passing. She was also a long time member of the Colonneh Club. Jerry was a very talented artist and her paintings are proudly displayed in the homes of the family. She was very passionate about her pets, and was almost always found with a puppy on her lap.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer A. Potter, Jr. Jerry is survived by her sons, Dan W. Ryan, Jr., John V. Ryan, and wife, Brenda and step son, Allen Potter, and wife, Ellen; as well as her sister, Barbara Owen McCall. Referred to fondly as "Mimi", she is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
"Mimi" was a very special lady, her constant smile will be missed.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation for the loving care provided by Tracy, Elta and Cynthia.
A memorial service is to be conducted at two o'clock in the afternoon on Thursday, the 9th of January at St. Martin's Episcopal Church, 717 Sage Road in Houston.
Prior to the service, the family will gather for a private entombment at Memorial Oaks Cemetery in Houston.
In lieu of customary remembrances, memorial contributions may be directed to the St. Martin's Endowment Fund, 717 Sage Rd., Houston, TX, 77056.
