JE,
You were the coworker that helped me be successful.
You were the mentor to so many things that came natural to you, but were difficult for me.
When you made mistakes, you made sure that I learned from them.
When I made mistakes, you never held it against me.
You were the uncle to my kids with your jokes and riddles.
You were the friend that shared your joys and sorrows with mine.
You knew, and got along with, all 3 of my wives. Especially Elena. She has always loved you like a brother.
You were part of our family with our Fridays at Jason's Deli and cable movies after.
You were there to celebrate Thanksgiving and Christmas at our table so many times.
But most of all, you were the brother that I wasn't born with, but was blessed to have.
I thank God for the 36 years of your life that He made a part of mine.
"In my Father's house, there are many mansions".
I know that yours is a nice one, and look forward to the day when I'll see you there.
Till then, I miss you and I always will.

I’m sorry to hear about the loss of your daddy. My favorite memory is when your parents bought this big fancy  car and went to granny and grandpa Kunetka house  in El Campo, and he said “well, it does make 9 miles to a gallon”. Thank goodness gas was about 25 cents a gallon!

Jerry and I were teenagers together. I remember going on double dates in his Dad's old green panel truck with wooden benches in the back. We had a lot of fun times together. While I was in Marine Corps boot camp, I got a letter from Jerry saying he had decided to join the Marine Corps too. We ended up going to Vietnam at the same time , to bases 60 mile apart. I was at DaNang and he was ar Chu Lai. We went separate ways after that but would get together every now and then. I was lucky to reconnect with Jerry for a while when he came back to Sherwood. Jerry was always a happy guy, regardless of how bad things got.  I'm going to miss him. Semper Fi, Brother.

Dear Renee and Rachelle,
      Uncle Leo and I send you our condolences on your great loss.  Your dad will be missed.  Looking back we remember how much he enjoyed being with the entire family when we gathered at my parents' home, usually for a holiday.  It was a small house with lots of people in it but he fit right in, smiling, talking and joking around, as if he had known us for years and years.  We know you have many favorite memories of him and hope they will help you through this time of grief.

To Jerry’s family my heart felt sympathy goes out to you all. So sorry that I’m not able to be there for his memorial. Our prayers are with you.  On my mothers side of our family she and her brother Uncle Orlando was the only ones that stayed in Arkansas  ( the rest of their siblings all went to California) ( later in life Uncle  Orlando  moved to Tennessee after his family had grown up). his  4 children and me and my two  Brothers were the only first cousin in Arkansas .  So Jerry and Linda  was the closest in age to us and they were the ones  we knew best.   Jerry came back to vist quit off — in these last years we have spent more time together and also spent some fun times at thanksgivings together at the duck club  .  He will be missed!

I am Jerry’s step-sister. We lived together as teenagers in a very large old house surrounded by 15 wooded acres of land.  Once when it snowed, his Dad hooked up the tractor to a flatbed trailer and drove all of us kids around and through the woods then we went inside for hot chocolate and roasted marshmallows in the fireplace.  We had  many fun experiences including double dates and family outings. One time we were swimming in my Uncle’s stock pond. The older boys were on a raft out in the middle of the pond. I wanted to be there too but I got in trouble just before I could grab the edge.  Seeing my struggle,  Jerry reached out his long strong arm and pulled me up.  I believe he saved my life that day.  I will always remember that. 
He is now eating at the banquet table with his brother Kenneth, my sister, Jackie and our Heavenly Father.  We will all be made perfect.  Rest In Peace Jerry.

Joe and I (Debbie)  are so sorry of your dad passing away.  It is Gods blessing to know that your dad knows Jesus as his Lord and Savior. 
 (2 Corinthians 5:8)   We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.   With this wonderful  message from Gods word may it lift your heart, and ease your pain and sorrow, and to bring you strength and comfort.

Oscar and Dianna Trujillo’s 
Memories of your Dad, Jerry.  

My (Dianna) earliest memory of your dad was after your dad and mom got married they invited me over to their apartment for the weekend.  This was a big deal for me to spend time with them and enjoy just hanging out.  Your mom made taco salad which was very new to me to eat at that time and found out it tasted great.  Jerry would be telling jokes and making me laugh while we ate. He made me feel right at home. 

Then your parents bought a house and moved off of Bissonett and Boone Rd Which is now close to Beltway 8 and Bissonett. Soon after that Oscar and I had gotten married and moved close to your parents on Boone Rd. which was 1 mile away from them.  It was nice living so close to each other because we would go out to eat and get together at each others house.  One time your parents came over to our apartment to play cards and we had so many snacks to eat while playing cards.  Your dad would always be telling us jokes to make us laugh.  He also was good at doing impressions.  My favorite one was his impression of an ostrich.  He was so good at looking and sounding like a ostrich and we would all laugh so much.  Even years later when Jerry came over to Nannie’s house to visit I had to ask him to do his ostrich impression. I would laugh so much.  He made my day giving me a good laugh and putting a smile on my face.  

Oscar and I always enjoyed his company. Another time we got together with your parents we put up volleyball net up in your parents back yard and Oscar and Jerry were against Theresa and me.  Boys against girls, but sad to say the girls lost, but we had a blast with your dad joking a lot and making us laugh so much we had a hard time concentrating on hitting the ball. Maybe that was your dad strategy to keep us from winning. 

Every time we were around Jerry we remember he was nice to be around because he was happy and smiling and always joking around. 


Jerry,  I so appreciated your thoughtfulness to attend Henry’s funeral and Jimmie’s  funeral.  And also for coming to visit me throughout the years. 

Thank you for giving me my two beautiful granddaughters.

I never met your father, but I know the pain of loss from losing my own. Sending you lots of hugs during this difficult time. We love you!

As kids, we lived together; we fought, we laughed, we cried.  We did not always show the love that we both had inside.  All the memories we shared is what bonds me now to you. We grew to find we have a love that is very strong today, a love that will never fade away.  You are my first brother and I could not have chosen a better one. I will love and miss you so long as I remain on this earth.  Until we meet again, rest in peace dear brother.

We are so sorry for your loss.  Didn’t know Jerry well enough because growing up he was in Houston and us in El Campo and only gathered when there was a family get together.  But he was a good father to Erica and Davina.  God bless you
