Jessie Ruth Ferguson

Jesse was born on June 4, 1950 in Homer, Louisiana to Leroy Ferguson and Louise (West) Ferguson, she accepted Christ at an early age. She attended Homer Elementary School for 2 years before her parents relocated to Houston, Texas.

She worked in the Medical Field for several years before retiring to become a caregiver for her friends’ three special need boys; Carl Wayne, Gary and Edward James. She raised them as her own boys until her stroke in 2010, it was with a saddened heart that she could no longer take care of them anymore.

On Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at Memorial Hermann Hospital, 1:19pm, God called Jessie home at the age of 71 she fought a long fight.

She was preceded in death by her father Leroy Ferguson, mother Louise Ferguson, sister Helen Huery, brother Earl Ray Ferguson, niece Angela Huery and a host of uncle’s, aunt’s, cousins and friends.

She leaves her cherished precious memories to her sisters; Bertha Ferguson McFall(Frank), Barbara Ferguson, Denitra Ferguson, brothers; Leroy Ferguson(Delores),Keith Ferguson, Kenneth Ferguson, Luther Carl Ferguson. Also a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

A funeral service for JESSIE will be held Saturday, April 2, 2022 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at Paradise Funeral Home, 10401 West Montgomery, Houston, TX 77088.
