Jessie Mae Williams made her final transition on Wednesday December 15th, 2021. Jessie was born to Champ & Fronie Rooks on March 17th, 1928 in Bahalia, Mississippi.
She married James Williams and moved to Houston with their family in 1959. She worked at Lord & Taylor for many years, but her true passion was being a homemaker.
She leaves to mourn her children, Annie (Anderson) Ward, Shirley Williams, JoAnn Johnson, Larry Williams, Ronnie Williams, James Williams Jr. (deceased), Donnie Williams (deceased), and Horace Williams (deceased). She also leaves behind 13 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren along with a host of friends and relatives.
A funeral service for Jessie will be held Monday, December 27, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Paradise Funeral Home, 10401 West Montgomery, Houston, TX 77088. A committal service will occur Monday, December 27, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Houston Memorial Garden, 2426 Cullen Blvd., Pearland, TX 77581. A visitation will occur Monday, December 27, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 10401 West Montgomery, Houston, TX 77088.
