Joan Romanas Becker

Joan was born on January 27 1933, in Cook County, St. Mary’s Hospital, Chicago, Illinois, the only child of Walter and Anna Romanas.

She was a sickly child. She valued life and learned early to persevere.

Joan is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Heather and Tim Feldman; their son Riley, his wife Taylor and their sons, Noah, Tristan and Forrest; their daughter Brooke, her husband Preston and their sons, Case and Lane; their son Fletcher, his daughter Madison, his wife Danika; son Wally’s children Brooks and daughter Fallon and her children London and Layla; son Gary’s children, Garrett, Beau, and his son Ayden; son Bill Roberts; daughter Karen and son-in-law Mark, their children Christopher, Blake and Lauren and 10 grandchildren. She is also survived by adopted daughter Kelly Dillon and her long term help mate and companion, Chuck Turman.

She is preceded in death by her parents Walter and Anna; her husbands Brooks Harris, Mack Roberts and Ken Becker; her sons Wally Harris and Gary Harris.

Joan was a good lady, enjoyed life, loved her family, served others, and was appreciative of the small things, She cared deeply. She encouraged family and friends to be and stay strong through it all. She died on April 10, 2022 at the age of 89. She will be missed, but will not be forgotten.

A visitation for Joan will be held Tuesday, April 19, 2022 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Oaks Mausoleum At Memorial Oaks Cemetery, 13001 katy Freeway, Houston, TX 77079. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, April 19, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Oaks Mausoleum at Memorial Oaks Cemetery, 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, TX 77079. A committal service will occur Tuesday, April 19, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Oaks Mausoleum at Memorial Oaks Cemetery, 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, TX 77079.
