Joanne M. Goulas, devoted wife, mother and grandmother passed away Wednesday, June 06, 2018 at the age of 83. Born in Baton Rouge, LA on November 19, 1934, she attended Sacred Heart School, Ursuline Academy, Grand Coteau College and finished at St. Thomas University. Married to her college sweetheart Elliott, they enjoyed 59 years together. She worked in the accounting industry. Joanne was devoutly and actively involved in Our Lady of Walsingham Catholic Church, where she served as Financial Manager, Alter Guild Director, organized the Walsingham Foundation and initiated and oversaw an annual St. Joseph's Alter.
Preceded in death by her husband, Elliott Goulas, her parents Peter and Jenny Miranda, her brother MP and wife Peggy. Joanne is survived by her children Brett, Dione (Pat Frolick), Charelle (Todd Grant), and Tamara (Henrik Simonsen) and seven grandchildren.
A Rosary will be offered Wednesday, June 13, at 7:00 pm and a funeral mass will take place on Thursday, June 14, at 10:00 am, both at Our Lady of Walsingham Catholic Church at 7809 Shadyvilla Lane in Houston, Texas , 77055.
