Joe is survived by his sister, Linda Morrison and husband Ron, Gladys Crain, nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents Elmer & Kathryn, step-father Amos McDonald, children Bobbie Jo, Joe Jr., and Ricky Crain, His sisters Elna Haycraft, Marilynn Petty, Brenda Lanier and brother E,F, Crain.
In the late 1980's he was owner-operator of Joe and Gladys Wrecker Service and later he owned and drove an 18 wheeler which he named "Big Red". He also loved his horses Willa and Buckshot and his dog Frank.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the many great staff members at Conroe Regional Healthcare and Heart to Heart Hospice for their compassionate service.
A graveside service for Joe will be held Tuesday, January 3, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039.
