Joe Duron of Houston, Texas passed away peacefully at home on Christmas Eve with his family by his side. He was a very proud US Navy veteran. He served two tours during the Vietnam War and loved the ocean and fishing was his lifelong hobby. Our father was a hardworking man who provided for his wife and kids always. He loved his grandkids and spoiled them dearly. His memory and work ethics have been instilled in us all. He will be dearly missed.
Joe is survived by his wife of 49 years, Elsa A Duron, daughter Elizabeth Gonzalez and husband Alex Gonzalez, son Danny Duron, his 6 grandchildren, Dalila Rodriguez, Natalie Garza, Alton Guerrero, Michael Garza. Ariah Duron and Arianna Duron. Joe is also survived by his brothers Alex and Mary Lou Lara, Robert and Susie Lara and sisters Mary and husband Javier Gonzalez, and Amelia Gutierrez. Preceded in death by his mother Dolores Lara, brothers Jessie Trevino, Anthony Lara, and his aunt Conception Solorio and uncle Pedro Solorio.
Visitation will be held from 5pm to 8pm Tuesday January 3, 2023 at Crespo Funeral Home on 2516 Navigation Blvd. Service will be held at 11am on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at the Houston National Cemetery on 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive Houston, TX 77305. A celebration of Life will be at Broadway Buffalo Wings on 1520 Southmore Ave. Pasadena, TX 77502 beginning at 1pm Wednesday, January 4, 2023.
