He was born on February 23rd, 1929 as the only son to Bradley Evans and Vernell White. To his family he was simply known as Joe Bradley.
A proud graduate of Phillis WHeatley High School in San Antonio, Texas, class of 1948, Joe Bradley immediately answered the call of duty, enlisting in the United States ARmy. His bravery shone through during his service in the Korean War, where he served his country with honor for six years, receiving and honorable discharge in April 1954.
He worked in the industrial steel industry for several years and spent 18 years working for San Francisco Municipal Railway before retiring in 1989.
Joe Bradley was happily married to the love of his life Theresa Mae Reed of Waelder, Texas for over 32 years. To their union, four children were born; Clifford James, Eric Earl, Darrell Wayne, and Glenn Anthony.
He is preceded in death by his father Bradley Evans, mother Vernell White, and his wife Theresa Mae (Reed) Evans.
He leaves to cherish his memories four sons, his sister Tollie Nell Allen, and a blended array of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
An avid golfer, a travel enthusiast, and a family man at heart, Joe Bradley's life was a testament to resilience and love. Our father was full of wisdom and common sense. He was a dedicated and loving brother and father figure to many. He loved his family more than anything. He would always look for the best in any situation and taught us to do the same. Let's remember all of Joe Bradley's great qualities and thank God for the time he allowed us to spend with him. His memories will live in all of us as long as we live.
Serving as pallbearers are Clifford James Evans, Eric Earl Evans, Darrell Wayne Evans, Glenn Anthony Evans, Marcus Evans, Jordan Evans and Randy Reed.
