Joe C. Fuentes, age 94, of Kingwood, Texas passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2024. He was born in Houston, Texas on December 24, 1929. Joe C. Fuentes graduated from Sam Houston and received a business degree from The University of Houston. He was married to Betty Jean Gonzales on March 25, 1967. Joe C. Fuentes worked as a supervisor for the United States Postal Service. He was a member of the original YMCA Houston Optimist Club and had a passion for sports. Football, Basketball and Handball. As a youth he played for the East End, Rusk Settlement and grew up in el barrio del alacran. Joe is survived by his loving wife Betty J. Fuentes, children Joe C. Fuentes Jr. and Laura Anne Fuentes, sisters Stella Lynch, Irene Zermeno and Carmen Edwards along with brother Gilbert Fuentes.
