Mr. Joe Pedigo was born in Belton, TX in 1921 to Joe & Bobbie Pedigo. He attended Texas A&M University until World War II began, and then enlisted in the United States Navy. He became a Naval Aviator, in rank of Lt. Commander, retiring after 24 years of service. He taught Naval Science at Smiley High School, Houston, TX, for 28 years until he retired from that position. He was married to the love of his life, Clara Clayburn Pedigo, for 34 years.
He is survived by wife Clara Pedigo, sons Joe Pedigo III and J. Thomas Pedigo. Howard Chester Clayburn III., Charlotte O'Hearn, Leslie Sanders, Candy Murray and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He and his wife were members of Houston First Baptist Church and he will be missed by his family and many friends.
Visitation will take place on Monday, February 23, 2015 from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m, the funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. and the interment will immediately follow. All services are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Funeral Home and Cemetery, located at 13001 Katy Freeway in Houston, Texas, 77079.
