Johnny, as he was affectionately known, was a graduate of Sam Houston High School. He married the love of his life, Carrie Ann Ferguson on June 18, 1960. They lived out their days in Houston, where John worked for over 30 years at the Houston Chronicle newspaper.
John had a passion for baseball and loved to attend and watch his home town team, the Houston Astros. He was diehard fan and spent many vacations with his beloved wife at spring training camp in Florida.
John is preceded in death by his parents and wife. He is survived by his brother James Robert Case, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Brookside Funeral Home. A graveside service is to be held at 10:30am, Thursday, March 9, 2017 at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A viewing is one hour prior to the service.
