

John was born July 21, 1971, in Bloomington, the son of Steve and Linda Potts Kanski. He married Jennifer Anne Seib on September 21, 1991, in Bloomington.
Surviving are his wife, Jenni, of Bloomington; one son, Tyler Kanski, of Katy, TX; one daughter, Lily Kanski, of Fort Worth, TX; his father, Steve Kanski, of Bloomington; and his mother, Linda Kuhn, of Bloomington and two sisters. Also surviving are his mother and father-in-law, Ed & Deb Seib, of Summerfield, FL.
He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Trevis Seib.
In loving memory of John Kanski – a cherished husband, devoted father, and esteemed businessman who departed this world too soon. John passed away, leaving a legacy of love, dedication, and integrity.
John was a beacon of unwavering support and endless affection as a husband. His love for his family knew no bounds, and his kindness and generosity touched the lives of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed by his beloved spouse, Jenni, with whom he shared 33 years of countless cherished memories.
As a father, John was a pillar of strength and wisdom. He poured his heart and soul into his children, imparting valuable lessons and instilling the importance of hard work, compassion, and resilience. His guidance will forever resonate in the hearts of his children, Tyler and Lily, who will carry his legacy forward with pride.
John was a visionary leader in business and a shining example of professionalism and excellence. His entrepreneurial spirit fueled his success, and his commitment to integrity and innovation earned him the respect and admiration of his peers and colleagues. His contributions to the business world will be remembered fondly by all who worked alongside him.
Though John may no longer walk among us, his spirit will live on in the countless lives he touched and the memories he created. May his legacy serve as a comfort and inspiration to all who mourn his loss.
Visitation will begin at 3:00 p.m. and will be followed by a memorial service at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to his children in John’s honor. An account has been set up at Heartland Bank and Trust (checks payable to Tyler and Lily Kanski.)
