John Heron Keasling, Sr., Papa Johnny, born January 9, 1931 in Scottsboro, Alabama, passed away November 20, 2015 in Houston, Texas. Left to cherish Johnny's memory are children: John Heron Keasling, Jr. and Kathy, Toni Sue Cohn and Gene, Eddie Alabama Keasling, Johnny Lee Keasling and Dianna Jo, Mark Martinez; grandchildren: Robert Keasling and wife Leona, Michael Keasling and wife Stephanie, Kenneth Keasling and wife Stephanie, Jessica Keasling, Robert Keasling and wife Ludy, Thomas Cox and wife Anna, Danny Joe Lee; Twelve great-grandchildren and one on the way, 3 great-great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters: Floyd Keasling, Troy Keasling and wife Evelyn, Ruth Hill and husband Sewell, Kathrine Keaslingand numerous friends; special friends: Penny Allison, Mark Martinez, Bobby Davis and Tammy Davis. Preceded in death by: father and mother Edgar and Beaulah Keasling; wife Mary Ella Keasling; brothers and sisters: James Keasling, Emery Keasling, Kinneth Keasling, Alford Keasling, Veda Ledwell, Ollie Mae Parker, Linda Keasling, and Robert Keasling.

Services are being handled by Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas, 77039. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 24, 2015 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. with the funeral at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 with interment following in Brookside Memorial Park.
