

John was born to Dorothy and John C. Middleton, Sr., in Houston. He was a graduate of the University of Texas and was president of the family business, Twin Oak Cleaners.
He enjoyed many activities with his golfing, fishing and gambling buddies. Many thanks are extended to the loyal employees of Twin Oak Cleaners, the Staff of St. Lukes Hospital, Methodist Hospital, Dr. Kelty Baker and Dr. Victor Fainstein. And in the end, many thanks to all friends for donating blood platelets.
John was preceded in death by both of his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Middleton; sisters, Bitsy Searcy and husband, Sam, and Suzanne Brennan and husband, Jack; step-son, Keith English, and wife, Karen, and their children, Jake and Nathan; nephews, Jason Nishizaki and his wife, Brittany, and Aaron Nishizaki.
A memorial service is to be conducted at two o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday, the 31st of March, in the Jasek Chapel of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons.
Prior to the memorial service, the family will have gathered for a private interment at Memorial Oaks Cemetery in Houston.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be directed to the Luekemia & Lymphoma Society, Texas Gulf Chapter, 5005 Mitchelldale St., No.115, Houston, TX, 77092; Houston Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, 900 Portway Dr., Houston, TX, 77024; or to a charity of one’s choice.
