John Fuller Sullivan, 73, of Houston and New Braunfels, Texas, crossed over peacefully at home on April 20, 2015. He has reunited with his children, Todd, Amy, and Derk; his parents, Joe and Inez Sullivan; and his brothers, Joe Jr. and George. John was an independent Real Estate Appraiser for 39 years. He graduated from John H. Regan High School and attended the University of Houston. An avid golfer, John’s favorite pastime was playing 19 holes on the Landa Park Golf Course with his best friend/brother-in-law, Kirk Seitz. Following that, he enjoyed floating in his inner tube in the Comal River at the island, with a cigar in one hand and a beer in the other, surrounded by his family and friends. He was a Mason and member of the Scottish Rite. John, aka Johnny Diamond, swept his wife of 54 years, Karen, off her feet with that very first kiss. Together, they had five beautiful children, and he was a loving husband and father. He is survived by his wife Karen, daughters, Maggie Nader (husband, Henry) and Molly Fierros (husband, Robert), sister, Sandra Pehl (husband, Charles), daughter in law Terri Sullivan and grandchildren, Lauren, Cole, Colleen, Rose, Clarke, William, and Nathaniel. The family wishes to thank Vitas Hospice Houston for their kindness and support. To celebrate John’s life, there will be a visitation at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home, 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, TX 77079 on Thursday, April 23, 2015 from 6-8 pm; with a funeral at the chapel at Memorial Oaks on Friday, April 24, 2015 at 12:30 pm. The family asks that in lieu of floral tributes, please consider a donation in John’s memory to the Shriners Hospital for Children at 6977 Main Street, Houston, TX 77030
