

Johnny was born to John B. Wilson, Sr and Lillian Pelham in Navasota, TX., and was the first born of six siblings. He married his loving wife of 55 years, Joyce Parrish on August 16, 1968.
Johnny attended the University of Houston, Sam Houston State University, South Texas Jr. College and the Houston Police Academy where he earned an Associates in Art in Police Service, a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and a Master of Science in Criminal Justice Management. He proudly served in the US Army where he received the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal and Expert Rifle M-14.
Johnny served honorably as a Lieutenant with the Houston Police Department, Memorial Herman Hospital Security and lastly with the US Marshall office before retiring. He enjoyed reading, fishing, collecting coins, stamps and old model cars, as well as spending time with family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his mother Lillian Pelham and his father John B. Wilson, Sr. and his brother Billy Wilson. He is survived by his loving wife Joyce Wilson, sisters Dorothy Dosser (husband Arnold), Linda Hill (husband Jeff), Becky Miller (husband James), as well as, numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held Monday, March 3rd, 2025 at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home located at 13001 Katy Fwy, Houston, TX 77079 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am, followed by a funeral service at 10:00am with HPD Chaplain Johnson presiding. A committal service will immediately follow at Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
