Jose Neftaly Marquez

Jose Neftaly Marquez, age 63, of Spring, Texas, passed away peacefully on October 24, 2025. He was born on September 9, 1962, in El Salvador to his loving parents, Jose Neftaly Marquez and Maria Eloisa Martinez De Marquez.

Jose’s life was defined by his deep love for his family and his joyful spirit. On March 8, 1990, he married the love of his life, Silvia Elizabeth Jaco, in Houston, Texas. Together they built a beautiful family and shared 35 wonderful years of marriage. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend.

Jose is survived by his beloved wife, Silvia, and their four children: Samantha Marquez, Sara Marquez, Silvia P. Marquez (and her husband Ryan Hanna), and Luis Marquez. He is also survived by his seven siblings: Juna Hilda Marquez, Ana Graciela Marquez, Gladys Esperanza Marquez, Lorena Ruth Marquez, Aide Marita Marquez, Oscar Osmar Marquez, and Juan Carlos Marquez, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends who will cherish his memory.

Jose had a zest for life that touched everyone he met. He loved spending time with his family and friends, taking road trips, traveling back to his beloved El Salvador, and watching soccer. His laughter, kindness, and warmth brought joy to all who knew him.

His legacy of love, strength, and family devotion will live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.

A visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel, located at 5100 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77022, on November 13, 2025, from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm the following day.

The funeral service will take place at the same venue on November 14, 2025, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.

A committal service will follow at Calvary Hill Funeral Home & Cremations, located at 21723 Aldine Westfield Rd, Humble, TX 77338, on November 14, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
