

Jose was a student at Westfield High School. He worked and helped out at A1 Texas Tint, his family’s business. Jose started karate at the age of 6 and was active with BMA’s competition team, where he was about to receive his Black Belt.
Jose was also involved in the Westfield JROTC Rifle Knights and the Texas Rifle Association. Some of his hobbies included modified karate, Tae Kwon Do, military, MMA, football and video games.
Jose was preceded in death by his grandmother, Betty Sue Payne; his uncle Oscar Rios; his aunt Mary Suzan Payne; and a baby cousin Christopher Patton. He is survived his parents; his step-father James Christopher Kennison; his grandparents Aurora and Francisco Rios and Robert L. Payne; his brothers Fabian D. Rios and Joquin D. Rios; his uncles Frankie and Alexander Rios; his aunt Patricia Payne; as well as other loving relatives and friends.
Jose loved and cared for his family and was always watching over his little brothers. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the BMA Karate family, Westfield JROTC, Mac Haik family and the Houston Pain Center family and doctors.
