Jose Melquiades Rodriguez

Jose M. Rodriguez, 75 of Houston, Texas was a great husband and provider for his family. He was a man of few words with many actions. He enjoyed exercising and riding his bike, being outdoors among the trees and his plants. He was a supporter of St. Jude and loved spending time with his grandkids and family.

He was born December 10, 1948 in Mexico and passed away at his home in Houston,Texas on January 27, 2024.

Jose is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Rosa Zapata Rodriguez; his parents, Cenobio and Francisca Ramirez Rodriguez; children, Christine Castellanos and Jose Castellanos; Laura Flores and Jesus Rodriguez; Leslie Flores and John Rodriguez; Benjamin Rodriguez; 13 grandchildren, Emma Rose, David, Lily Grace, Elizabeth, Tracy, Thomas, Angelis, Angelisa, Mateo, Amber, John, Jr., Ronaldo, Fatima and Ismael along with 2 great-grandchildren, Huey and Joshua; 5 brothers, Meliton Rodriguez, Ignacio Rodriguez, Ruben Rodriguez, Fulgencio Rodriguez and Jesus Rodriguez and sisters, Lidia Ortiz, Maria Oton Rodriguez, Aurora Hernandes and Oliveria Lara and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members.

He is preceded in death by his son, Crescencio Flores, III; son, Ismael Rodriguez and brother, Seguismundo Rodriguez.

A visitation for Jose will be held Wednesday, January 31, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Crespo, 4136 BROADWAY ST, HOUSTON, TX 77087. A funeral service will occur Thursday, February 1, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 4136 BROADWAY ST, HOUSTON, TX 77087. A committal will occur Thursday, February 1, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale St, Houston, TX 77023.
