José Rodolfo Salazar

José Rodolfo Salazar, born November 16, 1940, passed away on March 20, 2026, at the age of 85. A resident of Houston, Texas, Rodolfo was formerly of Valle Hermoso, Tamaulipas, Mexico, where he spent many years surrounded by family and friends.

José worked as a welder and was known for his strong work ethic and dedication to providing for his family. He enjoyed soccer and deeply valued the time he spent with his loved ones. Those who knew him will remember his dedication to his family and the pride he took in being a father, son, brother, grandpa, and great-grandpa.

Mr.Salazar is survived by his beloved wife, Maria Dolores Salazar, and by his children, Lisa, Anna Hernandez, and Olivia Salazar;as well as 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren with one recently born who will continue to honor and cherish his memory. He also leaves behind many extended family members and loved ones who will miss him dearly. Further he is preceded in death by his daughter, Claudia Salazar.

His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Crespo, 4136 BROADWAY ST, HOUSTON, TX 77087, US, on April 1, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A Prayer Service will take place at Funeraria Del Angel Crespo on April 1, 2026, from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

A Funeral Service will be held at St. Philip of Jesus Catholic Church, 9700 Villita St, Houston, TX 77013, US, on April 2, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. A Committal Service will follow at Forest Park Lawndale, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023, US, on April 2, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.
