Josefina Ramirez Sanchez

Josefina Sanchez, 75, of Houston, Texas entered into rest June 1, 2016. Josefina was born May 9, 1941 in Raymondville, Texas to parents Leonardo and Encarnacion Ramirez. She later married the love of her life, Santos Sanchez. She had a passion for cooking, dancing, listening to Tejano music, and traveling with her husband to her second home in the Valley. She was a faithful member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church since the church first opened. She would also contribute to the Alzheimer’s organization.

Josefina is survived by her husband Santos Sanchez of 51 loving years, her daughter Melissa Ann Solis and husband David, Michelle Annette Castellano and husband Edward, son Matthew A.C. Sanchez and wife Melissa; grandchildren Miranda Ruiz, Alyssa Urcuyo, Amber Urcuyo and husband Jose Reyna, Eryn Sanchez, Morgan Sanchez, Analisa Castellano, Christopher Solis, Marcus Solis and wife Aliya, and Joseph Solis; great grandchildren Aniyah McDowell, Victoria Reyna, Ivan Reyna, Marcus Solis Jr.

A visitation will be held Sunday, June 5, 2016 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm with a Rosary at 7:00pm at American Heritage Funeral Home, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas 77038. Funeral Services will be held Monday, June 6, 2016 at 9:45 am with a viewing at 9:00am St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 2730 Nelwood Drive, Houston, TX 77038. Interment will be held at Houston National Cemetery at 11:15am, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas 77038.
