When FB provided the platform it gladdened our hearts, but now you have moved to a higher platform. Gbenga Olaleye our dear friend is there too.

Dayo, you changed your name to Joseph! I could understand why you decided to do that now. It has been a year today, you were laid to rest 08/04/2012, it was like yesterday! I do not know if I could have really expressed how proud I was of you enough, I remember you saying " PG you did your best for me ...." I know that your enemies had done their worst, although you wanted to stay for us, and I am glad you have no more pain but I have pain now missing you everyday. 

My dear Olubunmi, it is getting easier for your daughter, Ayo knowing you are with our God helps her to get through!! OUR JEHOVAH RAPHA, OUR GREAT HEALER IS AT WORK!
I love and miss you everyday, standing on my own with your child and holding you in my heart.

Dayo, I am sure you are there at the bosom of the Lord smiling and interceeding for us! Time is really short, over 33yrs we left Aquinas College not knowing we will not see face to face again, and one year of your Saintly anniversary, be assured of our solidarity and prayerful fellowship with loved ones you left behind! Rest on dear friend!

It's been a year you heeded the last call and went home leaving your amiable wife and adorable daughter. We all feel the pain of your loss albeit in various degrees. Sleep on Gallant Soldier of Christ.May we all fight the good fight and finish our races strong. Adieu ! once again.

This was the last  conversation I had with you on FB brother Dayo.  I did not know it would be the last.  I remember you as a fine  gentle man,  quiet, humble, gentle.  You were at peace with people around you.  Never a sharp word for any one.  But above all, your love for God  was never in question as we  served God together in church some years back.  I know you have found rest with your creator.  May God grant  members of your family the fortitude to bear the loss.  We love you  but God loves you more.

Dayo....it's so sad....and so sudden.....and so unbeIievable!!!
Tears can't bring you back....and words cannot best describe who you were to those of us who intimately knew you....Ekundayo!!!!
Ellar Wheelar Wilcox said "it's easy enough to be pleasant, when life flow by little song, But the man worth while Is the one who can smile, When everything goes dead wrong.  For the test of the heart is trouble and it always comes with the years, And the Smiles that is worth the praise of the earth is the smile that shine through tears".
Ekundayo was complete in God's desire for man......kind, considerate and worthy. He knows God.

What else can be said of bro Dee that has not been said. Bro Dee as I fondly call you(my hubby' best man at our wedding)you were an epitome of gentleness, humility, fervency  and zealous for the service of God and humanity. I thank God almighty who rewarded your missionary efforts with the miracle of your baby girl. You see God knows  the end from the begining. I just praise Him because you are more precious now in His sight than ever before. Bro Dee we are surely missing you and your soft spoken voice. There will never be another bro Dee like you but our consolation is that you made it to heaven. Continue to rest in the bosom of the Lord. Till  we meet again, at Jesus' feet, God be with you.

You were calm, gentle and peaceful  all the years we've been together till the last time we shared and prayed together in the month of May. Rest in peace in the bossom of the Lord. The Lord keep & comfort your wife & daughter and everyone you left behind. We shall Miss You beloved brother & friend!

Finally, you moved on to be permanently with your Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. 
Brother Dayo, we will miss your gentleness, fervency and love for Christ and His kingdom. You were such a fervent christian that you volunteered to be part of the team to go to Isheri Olofin mission field when many prefer the city and headquarter church in Lagos then. You served faithfully, humbly and diligently. 
You stood for the truth. In a world of fast changing values, you maintained you christian standards till the end. While on the sick bed your faith was still firm in Him.
We will continue to miss you. However, we rejoice in the fact that you rest in the bosom of the Lord.
The Patriarch of old said "I have been young and old but never seen the righteous forsaken nor their seed beg for bread". Sister Bunmi and Ayo that you left behind will definitely enjoy the care of the Master whom you served relentlessly day and night.

For the brief year I met you personally you DEFINITELY exuded Christ in true peace, meekness and service. Even through the process of your immortality consuming your mortal body as it yearned for dust it's origin; your spirit fought to stay; peradventure you could finish what you have started; or at least enjoy the fruit of your labor. I don't know why you left; and I cannot understand; even in death you still minister to me. And strangely enough I feel closely connected even as you are absent from the earth. Yet like you know WE GIVE CHRIST ALL THE GLORY.

You have not tasted death

Birth is a manifestation of life
Death is another birth a third
But to manifest Life in Heaven

To be absent from the body
Is to be present with the Lord

The news of your passing away came to me as a shock this afternoon.  I have known you to be a gentle and humble brother, who loved, worshipped and served Jesus. And I am glad that you loved Him till your last moment on earth. Good night beloved brother. We shall meet on that glorious day, in Heaven, where there shall be no more weeping in Jesus name.

The news of your death came to me as a great shock. I was not priviledged to talk to you throughout your stay in USA but thank God for facebook that later connected us. I remember our stay together in Anthony village Lagos before we all got married you were always full of smile. Dayo was an epitome of a gentleman and a good christian. Rest in peace my dear brother and a friend.

Ekundayo, only God can tell why you have to depart this world so soon, at the we needed you most. I still can not come to terms that you are gone for ever and not to be seen again until we meet at the feet of our Lord Jesus Christ on the day of resurrection. Ever before I married your only sister I had known you as a child, very pleasant, soft spoken and respectful. When you grew up and we started to know each other better, I knew you as a complete gentleman, a man of God. Everything you were doing was Godly. You believed in Him and practiced christianity. You loved your electrical profession and you were always aspiring to be up to date. I miss you, my wife, your sister, will for ever mourn you. As we have to thank God in every situation  we give Him glory for your life, that you left a seed behind. By His grace your seed shall live and grow. She shall become exceeding great. Dear uncle Dayo,i still cant believe you are gone.i remember by Diploma days in lagos,i lived with you for months before i moved to the hostel.you were very gentle and religious.we are all going to miss you uncle.sleep on uncle Dayo......May the Lord grant you eternal rest.AMEN!!!!

Ekundayo, as I always called you. My good and loving brother. What words could I use to describe you. Ekundayo, you knew Jesus Christ at a tender age. We were born in love, grew up together in love and lived in love. I always imagined our growing up together in Ikare.  Ekundayo, the tallest amongst the siblings. You were very easy going, intelligent and tolerant. You were too gentle to hurt a fly. Ekundayo, you could not eat without reading. Ekundayo, my heart bleeds. The last time we talked over the phone, I said it emphatically that Ekundayo, I love you and will continue to love you. Ekundayo, what can I say to bring you back? I know and I am convinced that our loving God is on His throne. He knows what is best for you. Ekundayo, I mourn you day and night. I dialed your number to hear your wonderful voice again and again. Your memory will continue to linger in my mind. Ekundayo, my loving brother, you would greet with a smile. You could not be easily provoked. Ekundayo, when you were a small child who could not pronounce my name “Bolaji”, you called me “Aaji” that some close family members and friends still call me till today. I know that you died for the words of Christ and carried his wooden cross. You will resurrect with great glory, you will be cloaked with glorious gown, crowned with golden crown, with palm fronts in your hands. You will fly up tp meet Christ. Can't still believe u're gone, finding it hard accepting the fact that I won't see u again. Death! U coward, sparing the wickeds and taking the righteous.
Can still remember vividly ur gentle voice, ur cool countenance and ur easy going lifestyle. Uncle Dayo, u'll be greatly missed, continue to rest in d bossom of the Lord.

May the Gentle Soul of Bro Dayo rest in peace at the bossom of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Bro Dayo was a role model, an epitome of love. I remember when I stayed with him for 3 months in his house at Ajaokuta steel complex he was working as an Electrical Engineer in the steel company then in 1990, I was fascinated with his way of life. He was such a very gentle and easy going personality, he took me to his church and never missed the bible study every week despite his busy work. He was fond of reading at his leisure time.
God knows why He decided to take you home at this time. May the Almighty God abide with the family you left behind.

The news of Ekudayo's passing came as a shock to me. Tayo I pray that you will experience the comfort of the Holy Spirit at this time.

We spent many summer holidays in Ikare when we were growing up and I always think of the support that we got from "Mummy Ikare" when our Dad passed away and she came to be with us in Ife while Mummy was in the hospital. Over the years our cousins have been a wonderful support as well. We pray that everyone will experience God's love and comfort at this time - Mummy, Bro Abayo, Bro Yinka, Sis Bolaji and Morakinyo. God bless you all.
