

Joe attended South Texas Jr. College, San Jacinto College and the University of Houston. He worked for Brown & Root, Inc. for 33 years and was an accounting manager. Joe was a member of the Knights of Columbus, an officer of the Men’s Club at St. Rose of Lima and the Sacred Heart Society. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Air Force as a Communications Officer.
Joe was married for 62 years to Rosalie Marie (Lorino) Altomari, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Joseph M. and Donna Altomari; daughter and son-in-law, Lynnette and Michael Krezinski; grandchildren Matthew Krezinski and wife, Theresa, Jason Krezinski, and Michelle Krezinski; great grandson, Connor Joseph Krezinski; sister Peggy Zeigler; niece and nephews Dale, Mark and Glen Zeigler and many family members and friends.
The family will receive friends on Friday, April 10, 2026, at 12:00 p.m., followed by a Rosary at 12:30 p.m. and a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 p.m., at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 3600 Brinkman, Houston, TX 77018, with Father John Samuel presiding. Rite of Committal will follow at Garden of Gethsemane at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Matthew Krezinski, Jason Krezinski, Guadalupe Cariño, Joseph Cariño, Tom Civitello, and Gene Guglielmi. Honorary pallbearers are Michelle Krezinski, Raymond Jankowski, Mark Zeigler, Dale Zeigler and Glen Zeigler.
The family wishes to express our deepest gratitude to Lorena Castañeda and her family for their devoted care and love to our family, especially to our father and grandfather, as well as our mother and grandmother, Rosalie.
