

Mr. Cobb was is preceded in rest by his father, Joseph Brooks Cobb, Sr, his mother, Marjorie Gayle Cobb, and his younger brother, Charles Gayle Cobb. He is survived by his younger brother Francis Reilly Cobb and his family, and by many cousins.
Mr. Cobb enjoyed an interesting and fulfilling life with careers in retail management with Schwegmann’s in New Orleans, Gayle Hardware in Lake Charles, and B. Stern’s in Amite, LA. After taking several graduate level accounting courses he hired as a senior financial manager at Circle Bridge Company in Hattiesburg MS.
In 1983 he moved back to Houston where he opened & operated Accounting Automation, Inc, a consulting firm focused on helping small businesses take advantage of the fast growing computerized accounting services.
He was an avid classic car fan, knowledgeable in all manner of details about the autos from the 20’s through the 90’s. Packards and Dusenbergs were his favorites.
He was a graduate of Marian High School in Bellaire Texas in 1961 and of The University of Southern Louisiana where he was a member and treasurer of the Kappa Sigma fraternity.
Services will be private.
