Joyce Marie Aycock Talich, 97, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2025, surrounded by love.

Joyce lived a long, spirited life filled with laughter, connection, and devotion to those she loved most. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Talich, and by her first husband, Charles Tolen Aycock.

Joyce was known for her love of family, a good laugh, and her joy in being at the heart of family life. She was opinionated, strong, and full of spark—always eager to be in the middle of things, keeping up with the lives of everyone she held dear. She was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, and will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know her.

She is survived by her three children, and their families, with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will carry on her legacy of love, laughter, and family.

There will be no formal service, as the family has chosen to honor Joyce’s life in private gatherings, remembering her in the way she most loved—together around the table.
